Mama I am

Look at you growing! At your 6month check-up, you've doubled your birth weight! 14 lbs even.

Dear Ellie,
I have always loved you. But I am liking you more and more...

You have been so different from your sister from the start. You are far less snuggly, which makes your neck strength impressive with always preferring to look around when being held, but makes my heart feel a bit unneeded as your comforting mother. But, two nights ago, when you were doing your usual "Mmm Mmm Mmm" moans before falling asleep, I stopped what I was doing & listened... And then I heard it.
"Mmm Mmm Mmm Mamma Mammammama Mammama..."

I could have just woken you right up then to bug you & hold you!!!! It made my day, my week! I remember from when your sister was your age that you don't exactly have the association to what that sound means. But you will. And until then I will adore you from as close as you will allow and soak up these precious moments of little you.

Love, Your Mamma :)

Spring has sprung!

Spring Has Sprung...

The Grass Has Ris-

I Wonder Where the Flowers Is??

If you are a little confused, you must not have grown up hearing that saying around the spring time....

We now have a gorgeous display of tulips & roses lovingly planted by My Darling, but on this particular day there were no flowers to water...yet.

However, we did find a slug in the dirt! Audrey carefully carried him around with her feeding him grass, showing him rocks, watching him wiggle in her hand and, of course, watering him. And watering him. And watering him.

Poor little guy. He never lost his wiggle though, so he must have been fine!

How Cute are They?

Way cute :)

Play-Doh how I love thee

Upon finishing a story about friends...
Momma: You have lots of friends Audrey! Who are some of your friends?
Audrey: Ellie....Lucy.....................and Play-doh.

Alright, we all need to start getting out more.

Going to the store

I helped her put on her coat tonight because she
"needed to go to the store."
I asked if she needed money to buy things and she said
"I just need my purse right here"

I asked if she would please remember to buy some milk
"Sure, I'll get milk and some other things...."

....

"Do you want me to just pour you tea instead?"

Sure hunny, thank you.
Most stores have a no shoes, no pants policy anyway.

It's a Circus Here.

Dear Friends,
Please never, ever, ever-ever-ever, never-ever, stop by my house with out first calling. I am seriously considering making friends with some of the health inspector people who condemn houses for living, so that when that fateful day comes where my address is anonymously passed on to them they'll shrug off the information and kindly say
"Oh that's just Ginny. You probably didn't call ahead, so she didn't have time to speed clean."
That way my children won't be taken away from me.
...
Okay...it's not really that bad, we just rapidly accumulate counter-top clutter & we have no extra room or space to play with toys...so they end up spilling into every room. (I can't believe some people actually have separate rooms JUST for toys...what's that called again? oh yeah a PLAYROOM! What a dream...)
We do, however, have a large multi-colored tent in the middle of our living room. If you look closely you will see two children in this chaos.

But boy are they happy, well-loved children.

This Girl Loves her Hats!

These pictures are for my Aunt Sharon & Uncle LJ!
Yes, she sometimes can be seen walking around the house pantless, but never forgets to sport her beloved Boeing hat.
Thank You!!!!

Lost Footage

In-Training

At a very early age

--2 years and 3 months to be exact--

Audrey had a love for all things skiing. Her love of the sport was first sparked during the airing of the 2010 Winter Olympics in Whistler, Canada. She was enthralled each night when we let her watch some of the nightly events before bedtime. Among others... figure skating & skiing were her favorites. Her interest in the sport began in her family's living room watching and quickly turned into role play with swifter sweepers in the kitchen. This rare, never before seen footage, was captured during this significant molding period of her life where her future would eventually be revealed.

Because the Olympic officials changed a few things around & Olympians were accepted to compete, potty-trained or not...

this role play would ultimately lead to her

2028 Gold Medal in downhill skiing.
